General Introduction
The development of diving equipment and education system allows more people to practice scuba diving as a leisure activity. Recreational dive training programmes are generally divided into several steps that guide you to learn progressively. As knowledge and experience accumulated by time, you’ll be able to dive safer and deeper or to deal with more complicated situations. With more confidence, you’ll feel more and more free underwater.

PADI and French school, two schools of internationally recognized training programmes are available at our dive centre. All our courses include a technical training part and a underwater discovery part.
Courses can be given in English or in French.
The class is done in small groups of maximum 4 divers with 1 instructor. VIP course and group course can also be scheduled to fit your needs upon request.
Flexible dive course could be scheduled to suit your availability. You need to simply specify the dates and the language of your wish. To plan your course, please feel free to contact us.
For your health and safety, a medical certificate of no contraindication to scuba diving from a doctor issued within one year is required for the enrolment of all training programmes. We highly recommend you to consult a specialist if you plan to do Advanced Open Water Diver course or to pass higher levels. If you look for a specialist doctor, you could contact a doctor in the area. (Tip : Don’t forget to ask your doctor for 2 copies of medical certificate. As for the enrolment of training course, our dive centre needs to file one original copy.)
The underage divers need to provide a written parental authorisation.
PADI - Professional Association of Diving Instructors

PADI is the largest recreational diving membership and dive training organization in the world nowadays. The PADI qualification is widely accepted by the dive centres around the world, especially popular in Southeast Asia, America and those less travelled regions. At Côté Plongée, we deliver different levels of certifications up to Dive Master. At the end of your course, you will receive a certification card giving you the right to dive all over the world

The Scuba Diver, which takes minimum 2 dyas, is the first diving qualification. With this qualification, you can dive with a guide to a maximum depth of 12 metres.
The Open Water Scuba Diver gives you the right to dive autonomously to 18 metres all over the world. But in France, you need to dive with a guide according to the local regulation. As an entrance level qualification, the PADI Open Water Diver is the most popular diver qualification in the world.
In the PADI system, a variety of specialty qualifications are available after you acquire your Open Water Scuba Diver license. These specialties provide you the chance to further develop your knowledge and technique in the fields of your own interest in diving.

The Advanced Open Water Diver allows you to increase maximum depth up to 30 metres. It gives you access to a much larger choice of dive sites and helps you to improve your diving technique and to enrich your knowledge.
After Rescue Diver course, you’ll know how to prevent a problem and how to manage them if they occur. This is also the prerequisite step before moving to the PADI professional track, which starts from Dive Master.

Through the Underwater Naturalist course, you could learn why some marine life behave the way they do and why their presence is important in the aquatic ecosystem. It helps you to locate and recognize the hidden marine life. The more naturalist knowledge accumulates, the more fun your dive would be. - Underwater Navigator
Underwater, we lose a lot of reference for direction that we use to use on land. No road sign, no gate number and even no local to inquire. We need special technics to guide ourselves. Underwater Navigator course can help you to find your way. - Digital Underwater Photographer
Underwater photograph is a great way to keep your pleasant dive memory and share with your friend.Taking pictures underwater is quite different from what we do on land. Special knowledge of the equipment and dive skills are essential for taking a good picture. If you’re interested in underwater photograph, this course is ideal for you.
